Keep the Lights On! Washington statement on Cascadia Ridge Review Process

Following Jupiter Power’s announcement that it plans to pursue site certification for the Cascadia Ridge Resiliency Energy Storage Project through Washington’s Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council (EFSEC), Keep The Lights On! Washington issued the following statement:

“Cascadia Ridge is the kind of much-needed energy infrastructure Washington needs to strengthen reliability, add grid flexibility, and meet growing electricity demand.

The EFSEC process will provide a comprehensive state review to evaluate the project, engage key stakeholders, and ensure it meets Washington’s expectations for responsible energy development.

As that process moves forward, we will continue sharing factual information about battery energy storage systems infrastructure and technology, and supporting constructive engagement around Washington’s clean energy future.”
